We collect as little as possible, we never sell it, and you can have it removed by sending one email.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Seka Dobric — BV Seka Consulting
Da Vincilaan 1, 1930 Zaventem, Belgium
Company number (KBO/BCE) 0861.653.671 · VAT BE 0861.653.671
kd@sedobi.com
No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as there is no legal requirement to do so. For any question about your data, write to the address above.
2. What we collect, why, and on what basis
When you email us
What: your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write. Why: to answer you, and where relevant to discuss working together. Basis: the steps leading up to a possible agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
When you subscribe to episode announcements
What: your email address, and your first name if you give it. Why: to tell you when a new episode is out. Basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Every email carries an unsubscribe link and withdrawing costs you nothing.
When you book, or work with Seka
What: your name, email address, phone number, the date and time of the call, and during coaching or mentoring your goals, agreements and session notes. For trajectories such as Loopbaanbegeleiding or Terug naar werk, also the data needed under the VDAB or RIZIV rules. Why: to plan the call, to deliver the service, and to keep my professional records. Basis: the steps leading up to an agreement and the agreement itself (Art. 6(1)(b)), and legal obligations such as accounting and reporting (Art. 6(1)(c)).
I only ask for health-related information when you decide to share it. I treat it as strictly confidential and process it only with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)), or where the trajectory legally requires it. Coaching and mentoring conversations are confidential and I follow the ethical codes of ICF and EMCC.
When you take part as a guest
What: your contact details, the recording of the conversation, and anything you send in preparation. Why: to prepare, record, edit, publish and promote the episode. Basis: our agreement with you (Art. 6(1)(b)). Anything that goes beyond what that agreement covers is only published with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
When you visit this site
What: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the time, in server logs. Why: to keep the site running, secure and free of abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in the security and proper functioning of the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Statistics and embedded content
This site does not use visitor statistics or advertising trackers. Episode pages embed videos from YouTube (Google). The video stays blocked until you click play. Only then does YouTube load and it may set cookies and register your visit. You can also watch on YouTube itself. Basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given by clicking play.
We make no decisions about you by automated means and we do not profile you. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
3. Who else sees it
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. It is handled on our behalf by the providers we use to run the site and the show:
- Website hosting: Combell (Belgium)
- Email and calendar: Microsoft 365 and Google
- Online booking and video calls: the tools I use to plan and hold sessions
- Invoicing and accounting software
- Episode announcements: our newsletter provider
- Podcast hosting and distribution, and the platforms that carry the show — YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts
- The social platforms where clips are published: Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn
Each acts under a written agreement requiring them to process data only on our instructions and to keep it secure. We also disclose data where the law requires it. Where a trajectory requires it, data is shared with VDAB, RIZIV or your mutualiteit.
4. Data outside Europe
Some providers above are based in the United States or process data there. Those transfers are covered either by the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or by the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with additional safeguards. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards that apply to a specific transfer.
5. How long we keep it
| Enquiries that lead nowhere | 2 years after the last contact |
|---|---|
| Client and contractual records | 7 years after the end of the financial year, as Belgian law requires |
| Coaching and mentoring notes | Up to 5 years after the end of the engagement |
| Episode announcements | Until you unsubscribe, then a minimal record that you did |
| Guest recordings and correspondence | As long as the episode remains published |
| Server logs | 12 months |
When a retention period ends, the data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may access the data we hold about you and receive a copy, correct it, have it erased, restrict its use while a dispute is resolved, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time without giving a reason.
Write to kd@sedobi.com and we will answer within one month, at no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.
If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can complain to the Belgian supervisory authority:
Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données
Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels
contact@apd-gba.be
gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be
You can also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live.
7. Security
We use current, reasonable technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections, access limited to those who need it, and strong authentication on the accounts that hold personal data. No system is perfect and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify the supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform you directly where the law requires it.
8. Cookies
The site itself uses no tracking cookies. The only content that can set cookies is an embedded YouTube video, and it loads only after you click play. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time.
9. Social media pages
Where you interact with us on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn or YouTube, those platforms process your data under their own terms, and act as joint controller with us for page statistics. We have no control over what they collect. Their privacy policies apply alongside this statement.
10. Changes
We update this statement when what we do changes, or when the law does. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
